<\/p>\nDiamond Realty Management Inc. (\u201cDREAM\u201d), a 100% subsidiary of Mitsubishi Corporation (\u201cMC\u201d) today announced it has launched a development fund in the US \u201cDREAM US Fund\u201d. The launch of the\u3000\u201dDREAM US Fund\u201d represents the first outbound overseas fund raising offered to Japanese domestic investors by DREAM.\u00a0 DREAM will robustly pursue to launch the crossborder transactions, including making this \u201cDREAM US Fund\u201d in to the fund series.\u00a0 Being a member of MC Group enables DREAM to be the competent global and local asset manager in Japan and globally.<\/p>\n
The \u201cDREAM US Fund\u201d(The \u201cFund\u201d) will co-invest (less than 49% interests) in multi-family and logistics development projects in the US which have been undertaken by the DREAM\u2019s sister company, Diamond Realty Investment Inc. (\u201cDRI\u201d), US based real estate investment company.
\nDRI is a 100% subsidiary of MC Americas. DREAM will act as an asset manager for the Fund.<\/p>\n
With total equity commitment of USD 51 million from Japanese institutions, the Fund will invest in three development projects.
\nThe Fund has a life of 4 years and plans to exit through third party sale of the properties after the three development projects\u2019 completions and lease-up reaching stabilized occupancy level.
\nTotal cost of the Projects is approximately USD 250 million which consist with two multi-family developments (located in Texas and Colorado) and one logistics development (located in California).<\/p>\n
DREAM plans other multiple overseas initiatives including series of the Fund. DREAM will continue to leverage MC group\u2019s global network and local expertise and offer diverse high quality products to its investors.<\/p>\n
