 Diamond Realty Management (DREAM) was founded in October 2004 based on Mitsubishi Corporation’s real estate and financial business expertise.
Back in March 2003, Mitsubishi Corporation established Japan Retail Fund as the first retail-focused J-REIT and in October 2007, established its second J-REIT (Industrial & Infrastructure Fund) focused on both industrial and infrastructure properties. Mitsubishi Corp.- UBS Realty Inc. is the asset manager of both J-REITs.
DREAM now provides a solid platform for Mitsubishi Corporation to get fully involved in the real estate investment business in the form of private funds designated for both domestic and foreign institutional investors. This follows on from distinct success in building up the publicly-traded J-REIT platform.
After Japan’s commercial real estate market turned around significantly since 2000, asset under management by J-REIT and Private Fund have amounted to over JPY 17 trillion (as of December 2007) and cash inflow into Japan’s commercial real estate market is kept on in accordance with raise of property price and money overflow in world wide.
